Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) distributed meat packages to the families of disabled individuals in Egypt on Eid al-Adha.

TİKA's Cairo Coordinator Muhammet Akçay stated that they handed out meat on the second and third day of Eid and organized an event called "Eid al-Adha Meal", which was attended by 300 disabled peoples of various ages along with their families. Expressing that they aspired to ensure disabled peoples and their families experienced an enjoyable Eid, Akçay said, "The warm and sincere approach of the people in the regions in which we distributed meat and the joy on the families' faces demonstrate the importance of such initiatives." Akçay stated that as part of the Eid al-Adha events, they distributed meat to 1,500 families in Cairo, Sohag, Faiyum, Minya, and Asyut in cooperation with the Keyan Foundation, which has been providing support to mentally and physically disabled persons since 2003.

Muhammet Akçay made the following remarks: "We are putting forth effort to distribute meat by reaching families in need, especially in villages that do not have the support of non-governmental organizations. During Eid al-Adha, TİKA both distributed meat and brought together families who were not able to participate in social activities, thus enabling them to experience an enjoyable Eid."
