The Online Energy Reporting Training Program Was Launched with the Cooperation of TİKA and AA
The “Online Energy Reporting Training Program” was launched by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and Anadolu Agency (AA) for foreign participants from different parts of the world.
Organized within AA News Academy within the framework of AA’s vision of training qualified field reporters and as part of TİKA’s reporter training program, the training program began with the opening session held through video conferencing under the moderation of AA News Academy Assistant Specialist Büşra Türk.
The training program, provided in English and attended by 30 trainees from Azerbaijan, Algeria, Gambia, Georgia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Mozambique, and Ukraine, will end on September 9. During the training, courses on various topics such as energy news and sources, energy diplomacy, energy policies around the world, and energy economics will be taught. The opening session began with the introduction of TİKA and AA and continued with the speech of Cihangir İşbilir, Head of AA News Academy, who stated that the double standard of the world media showed the importance of the development of regional media.
TİKA Training and Project Coordinator Mustafa Haşim Polat stressed that energy is a highly important instrument for the world. After the introduction and opening speeches, the “Online Energy Reporting Training Program” continued with the lecture of Barış Sağlam, who works as an assistant editor for AA. After providing information on the main features of journalism; energy; the relationship between energy and economy; main energy sources such as oil, natural gas, coal, nuclear, and electricity; and renewable energy sources, Sağlam explained the specifics of news writing in the field of energy.
