Technical Equipment Support from TİKA to the University of Sarajevo
An atomic force microscope to be used in scientific research has been provided by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) to the International University of Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The high-tech atomic force microscope developed and produced by TÜBİTAK was delivered to the International University of Sarajevo. Technical training for the use of the microscope given to the university with support from TİKA was held at Cezeri Lab at the International University of Sarajevo on 17-19 October 2022. 20 faculty members from different universities throughout the country participated in the training organized by the expert team from Türkiye.
Any institution doing scientific research will be able to use it
The equipment to be used in scientific research in Bosnia and Herzegovina enables high-resolution and quality scanning. The high-tech atomic force microscope will be available for the use of all institutions in the country doing scientific research, particularly in the fields of physics, chemistry, materials science, and mechanical and industrial engineering.
About atomic force microscope
The atomic force microscope creates images of the surface map at the nanometer level. The microscope can measure all the features at nanoscale and do three-dimensional imaging. It can also be used to examine DNA. The coronavirus which emerged in 2020 was first viewed through this microscope in the world.
