Upport For Yemeni National Dialogue Conference Operations
Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency continues to support National Dialogue Conference operations that were launched following the Arab Spring in Yemen.

In order to support National Dialogue Conference operations which have an important place in the restructuring of Yemen a Turkish delegation that includes Prof. Dr. Refik Korkusuz and Asst. Assoc. Dr. Ali Emrah Bozbayındır went to Yemen with TIKA’s contributions.

Firstly, the delegation attended the meeting which took place with the participation of senior bureaucrats of the Ministry under the chairmanship of Minister of Human Rights Hurriye Meşhur. At the meeting it was decided for certain members of the Ministry and National Dialogue Conference to pay a vocational visit to Turkey. Later presentations were made in the both halls of the National Dialogue Conference which are being conducted under the supervision of the United Nations. Detailed information on Turkey’s legal system in the historical process and human rights was given to the Yemeni part.

The delegation stated that the legal aspect of the problem shall be resolved generally if the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights is put in the new constitution as it is for human rights, and arbitrariness in the application will be left only.

The Yemeni party stated that they should benefit Turkey’s experience to form the New Yemen especially for completing the new constitution as in other areas.
