The Projects Completed In Moldova Were Opened For Service By The Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ

Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ, who came to the capital of Moldova, Kishinev, on an official visit, opened the Atatürk Library and Gökoğuz Yeri Radio and Television Association, which were completed by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency Directorate.

Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ made a number of official visits in Moldova’s capital Kishinev. During his visits to a number of locations in the capital Kishinev, Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ also went to the Moldovan Ministry of Regional Development and met with the Moldovan Minister of Regional Development Marcel Raducan. Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ, who spoke at the meeting, said the there is an ancient relationship that exists between Turkey and Moldova. While pointing out that the two countries have many connections politically, economically, culturally and in many other fields, Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ said that Turkey and Moldova were allied countries.

Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ, who pointed out that many projects were being brought to life at the Gökoğuz Yeri through TİKA in a variety of fields, such as infrastructure, education, health and technical cooperation, said that they intend to increase these contributions which are being made in cooperation with the Moldovan authorities. Moldovan Minister of Regional Development Marcel Raducan said that he was pleased to have the opportunity to welcome Bozdağ and his committee to his country. While pointing out the good relations between the two countries, Moldovan Minister of Regional Development Marcel Raducan said that will work towards developing these relations even more. After the meeting Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ visited the Moldova TİKA Program Coordination Office. During his visit the Deputy Prime Minister was given a presentation by the TİKA officials. Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ expressed how pleased he was to see the projects that TİKA has completed and is continuing to work on in Moldova. The Deputy Prime Minister then left the offices to see the projects TİKA has been working on first hand.

During Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ’s visit to the Gökoğuz autonomous region in Moldova, which is called "Gökoğuz Yeri", he was greeted by the Prime Minister of Moldova, Lurie Leanca, and the President of Gökoğuz Yeri, Mihail Formuzal, in front of the “Gökoğuz Yeri Ministry Committee and Public Meeting Building”, which had been repaired, furnished and equipped by TİKA. Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ, who inspected the ministry building, later met with the Gökoğuz Yeri President and the Prime Minister of Moldova. Later the Deputy Prime Minister conducted the opening of the TİKA Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Library in Komrat central, which was originally established in 1994 by TİKA and recently restored and furnished.

Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ then proceeded to the opening of the Gökoğuz Yeri Radio Television Association, which was established by TİKA in 1996 and recently completely renewed, restored, refurbished and equipped with modern technical equipment within the scope of the “Gökoğuz Yeri Radio Television Association Modernization Project”. Here Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ participated as a guest on the live broadcast of the “Gün Günden” TV and Radio show which is viewed by the Gökoğuz region community with a population of around 150 thousand.

In the final portion of his contacts in the Gökoğuz Region, Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ visited the Komrat Nursing Home which was built by TİKA. Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ, who paid special attention to the elderly residents, distributed gifts, talked to the residents and obtained information about the nursing home facility with a 50-bed capacity. Having completed his visit to Moldova, Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ returned to Turkey.
