International Police Trainings Continue in Cooperation with TİKA and the General Directorate of Security

As part of the International Police Training Project, which has been initiated with the cooperation of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Turkish General Directorate of Security, an online "Crime Intelligence Analysis Training" was organized in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, as well as an "International Cooperation Channels in the Fight Against Crime Training" with Bosnia and Herzegovina in the area of Interpol-Europol.

TİKA continues sharing Turkey's experience in security on online platforms due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with in-service and applied training programs that used to be carried out face-to-face.

Within this context, an online "Crime Intelligence Analysis Training" was provided to 35 employees from the law enforcement agencies of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro between April 5-8, 2021, in order to share mutual experiences, raise common awareness in the fight against crime, and provide terminological coherence between the law enforcement agencies in these countries.

Having taken the floor during the opening ceremony of the training program, Elvedina Hodzic, the Secretary General of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, shared her belief that these trainings would make a huge contribution to the law enforcement officials.

Dejan Knezeviç, Deputy Director General of Security in Montenegro, thanked TİKA by stating that he was certain that these trainings would help them not just as trainings, but also as an opportunity to share experiences.

"International Cooperation Channels in the Fight Against Crime Training"

At the "International Cooperation Channels in the Fight Against Crime Training", which took place for 4 days between April 13-16, 2021 and was attended by 12 trainees working in the Interpol unit of the Bosnia and Herzegovina General Directorate of Security; the jurisdiction, purpose and the structure of Interpol have been discussed, as well as the jurisdiction and the activities of the liaison officers.

As part of the training, ideas were exchanged with respect to the national and international practices, especially the local legislations and practices of the trainees, International Databases, International Terror, Public Order and Trafficking Crimes.

Having expressed that they trainings have been really helpful for them, the trainees stated that they would use the information they have learned during the trainings.
