Equipment Provided To The Democratic Republic Of Congo Ministry Of Foreign Affairs
Computers, computer equipment and various office supplies were provided to the Democratic Republic of Congo Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency Directorate.
Cooperation continues between the Democratic Republic of Congo, a country which is among the most underdeveloped in the world and which has been trying to erase the traces of civil war for a number of years, and TİKA. By organizing cooperation activities between the official agencies and organization of the partner countries, TİKA aims to help the bureaucracy of the countries function more productively and to enable the citizens to have access to better quality, faster and sustainable services.
In this context TİKA has provided computers, computer equipment and various office supplies to the European Directorship under the Democratic Republic of Congo Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which regulates relations between the Democratic Republic of Congo and European countries including Turkey.
The donated supplies were handed over to the Democratic Republic of Congo authorities in a ceremony attended by the Turkish Republic’s Ambassador to Kinshasa Bekir Uysal and the Democratic Republic of Congo Ministry of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary. The Democratic Republic of Congo authorities who thanked Turkey for their contribution during the ceremony expressed their hopes for the cooperation between the two countries to continue.
The Democratic Republic of Congo Ministry of Foreign Affairs elevators were repaired by TİKA
TİKA has undertaken a number of projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which is described by the United Nations as being in the category of underdeveloped countries. In 2009 four elevators had been donated to the main buildings of the Democratic Republic of Congo Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this scope.
In order to overcome problems in the operation of the elevators due to frequent power outages in Kinshasa, two stabilizers were also donated and the elevators were repaired and maintained within the scope of a project done by TİKA.
