Radio City was established with support given by TİKA in the Wardak Province of Afghanistan. Staff from Radio City came to Turkey for a training program. The program lasted 15 days and was held in the Suleyman Demirel University Press and Publishing Department. The program gave training in audio editing, music publishing, transmitting mixer programs, the use of channel mixers, using microphones as well as the cable types and the use of radio broadcasting systems and their functions.
The participants, having completed the training program successfully, stated that they will be able to make better quality and more efficient radio broadcasts to the local people, in light of the professional training they received in Turkey. The participants in the training program expressed their appreciation and gave their thanks to TİKA for the support their organization provided.
Radio City, whose official opening will be in the next few days, will grant TİKA 6 hours of radio broadcasting a day. The programs will be on at prime time and will focus on past and current projects and facilities of TİKA, in the Wardak Province and in Afghanistan, overall.
