| First Trial planting of the Ridge Planting Project |
New steps have been taken in the Project called “Development of Ridge Planting Techniques.” This was carried out jointly by the TİKA Presidency, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Processing Industries of the Kyrgyz Republic. The First Trial planting was made with a ceremony in the Çüy Region and Ak-Kuduk Village of Isık Ata Town using the machinery brought from Turkey. The machinery included 1 pneumatic sowing machine, 1 grain sowing machine and 1 stem shredding machine.

| Institute of Social Pediatrics Being Built in Senegal |
An institute of Social Pediatrics is being built by TİKA within the suburban area of Pikine in the Senegalese capital of Dakar. The aim of the Institute is to maintain medical services that will improve maternal and child health conditions.

| Computer Laboratory to Vocational Education and Production Center in Mongolia |
TİKA provided materials and equipment support to the Vocational Training and Production Centre. The Centre began its activities in order to train qualified staff in the Bor-Undur Town of Khentii Province in Mongolia. A computer laboratory established inside the 285 student capacity Centre consists of 25 computers, 38 tables, 20 chairs, 5 copy machines and 2 scanners.

| Fisheries Institute in Bosnia and Herzegovina opened in a Ceremony |
Neretva Fisheries Institute, whose construction was carried out jointly among the TİKA Presidency, the Konjic Municipality and the Sarajevo University Faculty of Agriculture was opened in a ceremony. The opening of the Institute will be benefited by the fish producers, students of Sarajevo University Faculty of Agriculture and all students who want to do research and investigation from the other cities in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Balkan countries. It was attended by the Turkish Ambassador to Sarajevo, Vefahan Ocak, the TİKA President, Musa Kulaklıkaya, the Mostar Consul General, Metin Ergin, the TİKA Department Head, Selda Özdenoğlu, Strategy Development Manager, Çetin Kurtoğlu and the accompanying TİKA delegation, Sarajevo University Faculty of Agriculture, Dean Mirsad Kurtovic and many guests.

| State Medal of Honour to TİKA from Kazakhstan Ministry of Interior |
The TİKA Kazakhstan Program Coordinator, Dr. Ömer Kocaman was presented with the Kazakhstan State Medal of Honour by the Kazakhstan Ministry of Interior, in response to the contribution by TİKA to the process of the consolidation of Kazakhstan, as a state.

| School with 7 Classes built in Palestine |
A school with seven classes was built by the TIKA Presidency at Tulkarem, in the north West Bank. Tulkarem Rasim Kemal Turkish School, in which 350 students will receive training, has administrative offices, a computer department and a library.
