State Minister Faruk Çelik Accepted Students participating in the Turkish Olympics at TİKA

State Minsiter Faruk Çelik accepted a student delegation comprised of the students from America, Indonesia, Georgia, South Africa, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tatarstan and Turkmenistan. Minister Çelik stated that “I visit training slots in the countries I go for an official visit that I see them as a refugee. I present my thanks to the students who have training in these schools and to everybody involved”.

Training to Mogul Police on the Struggle with Smuggling and Organized Crime

The Second training program carried out in Mongolia in scope of the “International Police Training Cooperation Project” being implemented in cooperation between TİKA and General Directorate of Security Police Academy was completed. The training program entitled “Investigation of Organized Crime, Monitoring and Techniques” lasted a week with the participation of 24 police officers working in the police organization of Mongolia.

“Organic Beekeeping Project” in Bosnia and Herzegovina has started

A new project has been added to the projects being implemented by TİKA Presidency in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this framework, the Organic Beekeeping Project that will be implemented in the region of Kaçuni has taken a start. A technical delegation including the Ministry of Agriculture of Canton Travnik Semin Zdraloviç, faculty members of the Veterinary Faculty, President of the Kaçuni Beekeeping Association and board members made an inspection visit to Turkey in scope of the project. The delegation also included farmers who will participate in month-long training program on the queen bee production in Turkey.

Turkey International Training Programs Started

“Turkish Republic International Training Programs” that was prepared as a result of the works carried out by TİKA Presidency for conducting the activities of Turkey regarding development cooperation more planned and coordinated has started. The programs aims at being a database needed by experts of developing countries in their fields by informing on the educational activities to be carried out by Turkish public institutions and organizations over a year. The programs will continue over the next years.

 Support to Cotton Production in Tajikistan

4 seeders and 5 tons of cotton seeds were delivered to the Tajik authorities in a ceremony in scope of “the Project of the Cotton Sector Development in Tajikistan Using New Variants and Crop Classification Methods”. This is being carried out jointly in co-operation with TİKA Presidency and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The First Co-operation and Development Meeting of the Organization of Islamic Conference Member States was held in Istanbul in co-operation with TİKA Presidency and the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC). The meeting, hosted by Minister of State Faruk Çelik was attended by State Minister Cevdet Yılmaz, TİKA President Musa Kulaklıkaya along with Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary-General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Ministers and top-level bureaucrats of the development-related institutions of Pakistan, Iran and Katar.
