Materials were provided by TIKA for the La Source Feminine Women’s Association as part of vocational training courses conducted for women in Senegal. The materials were presented to the association at a ceremony which was attended by the local Mayor, members of the municipal council, school principals, association members, members of the press and other guests.

| Music Festival in Turkmenistan |
The international “Turkmenistan Songs-Music-Humanity is the Treasure of the Soul” festival organized to revitalize the national heritage, culture and traditions of Turkmenistan, was successfully executed. Close to 300 representatives of the arts from 15 different countries participated in the festival organized jointly by TIKA and the Turkmenistan Ministry Culture and Teleradio Broadcasting.

| Seminar on Bone Marrow Transplants in Tashkent |
A seminar on bone marrow transplants was organized by TIKA in Tashkent as part of the Bone Marrow Transplant project being implemented in Uzbekistan. Close to 40 Uzbek Hematologists participated in the seminar which was also supported by the Uzbekistan Scientific Research Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.
